FAFC at BJJ Oceania
While the FAFC BJJ club members did extremely well our Team won the BJJ competition overall.
The combined points of AET affiliates put Australian Elite Team at the top
Great effort by everyone at the BJJ Oceania. Especially with some getting bumped up, age or weight or both.
Plenty of Lessons learnt which is the most important part of competition.
All the competitors will return to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes this week with plenty of questions and things to drill.
The classes at Glenroy this week will focus on drilling the areas where we could see opportunities for improvement.
Competitions like this show that Brazilian Jiu Jitsu as well as being one of the best Martial Arts Styles for Self Defence is also a fantastic sport for teaching the kids all about team work and comradery.
The Kids who live in Moreland ( now called Merri-bek) , Hume , Moonee Valley all bond together along with their siblings.
Tournaments like the AFBJJ events also teach the competior to deal with accepting referee decisions as well as both winning and losing with grace.
We are all very proud of the Team and how they conducted themselves on the day.
