Harper McArdle defeated her competitors submitting both her opponents with Armbar to take Gold at the recent Victorian Jiu Jitsu Championships.
Harper trains in the Junior BJJ classes at FAFC alongside team mate Indigo Maddicks who took Bronze in the younger division.
Senior Dale Vistarini also took Bronze in the Male Brown Masters 1.
Held on Mothers day 2023 meant few from the club were available to compete but they all did us proud representing both FAFC and Australian Elite Team .
The girls points added to the tally for AET taking out Best Junior Team.
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes at FAFC teach skills in taking your opponent to the ground , restraining and controlling them as well as learning submission techniques like armbars chokes and shoulder locks. Taught in a fun safe environment the skill of getting out from under a bigger stronger opponent is something everybody should learn.
