The boom gates in Glenroy are well and truly gone now with the brand new station up and running. The trains all pass under Glenroy Road and the traffic through Glenroy moves along smoothly without the horrible lengthy delays the trains and boom gates used to cause. The new set up opens the station up both sides of the tracks so foot traffic can pass over the tracks without having to walk through the smelly dungeon underpass. There is planty of parking for everyone and ascetically pleasing sitting areas along the path ways. Glenroy is definately far better off with the new set up.
As a celebration of the completion of the projects Sunday 2nd of October was the date for a community event and FAFC was invited along to add to the atmosphere and put on a display of Martial Arts for the crowd.
Thanks to all the instructors who made it a great success and to all the students that trained hard in the bright sun in front of the good sized crowds.
